22 yrs ago today, after a long zoning dispute with local officials that ruined his business, welder Marvin Heemeyer had enough & created the Killdozer.
He destroyed the mayorβs house, the judgeβs house, town hall, the police station, & the bank - while avoiding hurting civilians or their property.
Happy Killdozer Day to those who celebrate π
@KarlMecklenburg All teams are different. Broncos made huge strides this year, most people would say they overachieved. Success.
Nuggets performance in 2nd round against the medicore T-Wolves missing multiple starters was awful. Underachieved.
Avs getting swept? Season was a total railure
@ScottKacsmar@KCchemguy Belichek put him on his all-time team. Gibbs and Walsh both wanted Elway in trades - glad you are so much smarter than they are.
Imagine the Super Bowls those franchises could have won with the great Scott Kacsmar at the helm!!!
#EngagementFarming
@ScottKacsmar@KCchemguy I watched them start 0-4 in 1999 before TD and Sharpe got injured after losing 6 games (a few meaningless ones) in the previous 2 years, so yea, I know a lot about 1999.
Mahomes and Elway can both be great, by the way, it doesn't have to be one or the other.
@KCchemguy@ScottKacsmar Scott has basically been arguing for a week that Elway was overrated, most of the rest of twitter is trying to figure out if he's engagement farming or a moron.
@ScottKacsmar@KCchemguy When they lose, it's all Elway. Elway was 0-29. Elway lost 55-10 and 39-20 and 42-10
But the Broncos won the Super Bowl as a team despite Elway. And another when he was MVP
The 17 win Broncos dropped to 5 the next year because of a change at...safety?
Your logic is moronic
@ScottKacsmar@KCchemguy I never used the word shootout. Those are both impressive road victories, and it was a league where games weren't 51-48 like they are today. On the road against strong defensive teams, Super Bowl on the line. 29 games was less than 2 per year, and you leave out SB32 (31-24).
@dbsb3233@SteveSa88969606@EricGoodman That's probably wrong to say - I had expectations - and he lived down to them. Only 21 offensive points in 6 quarters, a pick six bringing him down to +14, multiple chances to win in OT, multiple turnovers including one to end the game. His playoff career in a nutshell.
@TheReal307@TangoBravo1978@EricGoodman Go Broncos. I'm sure we agree on 95%. But the Ravens game, I blame Manning.
We scored 35, 2 kick return TDs, so that's 21 on offense.
Manning threw a pick six, so he's only +14, and that's in 6 quarters of football.
He had multiple opps in OT so hard to blame kneeling.
@TheReal307@TangoBravo1978@EricGoodman Well, we disagree. A big part for me was that I was 100% emotionally invested in Elway getting a ring and had zero connection with Manning except watching him choke in the playoffs as a big favorite at home almost every year.
I fully expected the collapse in '12 (and 13 and 14)
