x402 update: @Cloudflare just opened a waitlist for a Monetization Gateway that lets any website charge AI agents for content using stablecoins instead of just blocking their crawlers. AWS shipped the same capability in CloudFront two weeks earlier.

In its first year, the protocol processed 169M payments across 590K buyers and 100K sellers — and AI-training crawler traffic jumped from 22% to 52% of all bot requests in about a year.

The infrastructure for machines paying machines isn't coming. It's already live.
