Special Intensive Revision (SIR) – Phase III

ECI is conducting the SIR across16 States and 3 UTs in Phase 3. This exercise under Section 21 of the RP Act, 1950 ensures a pure and accurate electoral roll to strengthen democracy.

[Chief Electoral Officer Telangana @CEO_Telangana]

The Chief Electoral Officer, Telangana, Shri C.Sudharsan Reddy, IAS, conducted a video conference today, i.e., 16/05/2026, with the Commissioner, GHMC & District Election Officer, Hyderabad, all District Collectors & District Election Officers, and Electoral Registration Officers (EROs).

During the session, the CEO briefed the DEOs on the SIR schedule and instructed them to prepare a strategy for the effective execution of the entire exercise. The activities include enumeration forms distribution, filling up of Enumeration Forms (EFs), and collection of Enumeration forms.

The CEO also instructed the DEOs to conduct meetings with political parties and ensure the participation of Booth Level Agents (BLAs). Minutes of the meetings should be recorded properly.

Further, instructions were also issued regarding the training of BLO Supervisors, BLOs, and the Technical Team on the SIR process and the ECI NET mobile application. The CEO also instructed all DEOs and EROs to properly identify and mark the VVIP electors in their respective districts and establish Help Desks at the DEO and ERO levels.

The Additional CEO, Sri Dr. Vasam Venkateshwar Reddy, IAS, and Sri G.S.Chary, Assistant Secretary, Nodal officers concerned and PM (IT) were present during the meeting.
