The NDC was told to hold their party primaries. But they decided to hold a general election.

From Delta to Sokoto, Kano to Lafia, Lagos to Ogbia. All across Nigeria, people trooped en masse to be counted. The NDC is the only Democratic Party in Nigeria. What I saw today was shocking. Nigerians are tired, people are genuinely fed up. They want the APC gone!

I can't believe some men still think like this in 2026. So a woman should stay broke, shrink her ambition, and avoid success…just to improve her marriage chances? That logic is wild.

First of all, Linda Ikeji being unmarried is not proof that successful women are undesirable. One woman's personal life is not a scientific case study for all women. By that logic, there are also rich, handsome, successful men who are divorced, single, or unhappy in relationships. Life is more complex than "money ruined her chances."
Secondly, the obsession some people have with "Humbling" successful women is strange. When a man becomes rich, society calls him responsible, hardworking, and high value. When a woman becomes rich, suddenly people start asking, "But can she keep a man?" Bullsh!t
Why is marriage the final exam for women only?
A woman having money doesn't reduce her femininity. It just removes desperation. And that's what bothers some people.
Financial independence means a woman can choose love genuinely instead of settling out of survival.
Also, let's stop pretending men don't date up. Plenty of men pursue wealthy, connected, influential women every day.

The issue isn't female success, it's insecure people feeling threatened by women who no longer need permission to live well.
And this "Hypergamy is a curse" narrative ignores reality. Everybody wants stability, comfort, and a good life. Men do too.
Nobody praises a man for intentionally marrying into suffering.

Lastly, reducing a woman's entire existence to whether she has a husband is outdated. Marriage is beautiful, yes, but it is not the sole measurement of a woman's value, purpose, intelligence, peace, or success.
Women should absolutely make money, build wealth, get educated, travel, own businesses, and become successful. A healthy relationship should complement a woman's life, not require her to stay small to qualify for love. I hope this sinks into your head 🙂‍↕️ No disrespect!
