For World Earth Day we held a litter pick at Alvaston Park in Derby where we collected 16 bags of litter and recorded 1556 pieces of plastic with Kids Against Plastic. Thanks too to our colleagues at the Rotary Club of Derby, who co-ordinated the event
Our Santa Sleigh raised £1,644 thanks to the generosity of Mackworth residents. Half of the money raised will be used to support the rebuild of All Saints Church in Mackworth and the other 50% will be used to support a range of charitable organisations https://t.co/hQUrQ3E4r4

So it's many thanks to @EastMidRailway and @DerbyDaybreak. The Rotary Club of Derby Daybreak came up with the idea to help out the asylum seekers being accommodated in the Midland Hotel. They're still in need of any unwanted clothes, shoes, toys etc.
We’re supporting Rotary @DerbyDaybreak with their clothing drive for asylum seekers staying at the Midland Hotel. They are especially short of men's clothing. They also need toys. Please contact our President Elect Les Bryan at [email protected] and he will collect.

The club has donated £600 to the Safe & Sound Butterfly Appeal, in addition to a monthly donation, with the aim of £500 funding a therapist and £100 to fund a hot meal and drink for 10 vulnerable young people. Club Past President, Sue Cook is pictured with the Safe & Sound team.
A fantastic £4,555 raised at our bucket and glass collection at the Derby Winter Ales Festival. Well done to our members, families and friends for a brilliant four days.
Saturday, 15th September - Autumn Fayre at Our Lady of Lourdes Church Hall at Mickleover.
We have 15 stalls booked including Cards, Body Shop, Candles, Various Crafts, Xmas Decorations, Books, Tombola etc.
It runs from 10am - 3pm and it’s just £1 entrance fee, toddlers free
It was a great night of fundraising when members of the club gathered at the Spice Lounge in Derby.
Over 60 guests took their places for a superb meal and raised £930 with the proceeds being split between Derby Daybreak charities and Birmingham Children’s Hospital Cardiac Unit.
