These first six months back at @csuf have been fulfilling and challenging - two things I love having at work.
Iโm never bored and am thankful for the constant support of my coworkers. ๐ฏ
Itโs nice when my work environment lines up with my highest values. I feel blessed.
Forgot to update this page: Iโm excited to return to SoCal and @csuf to serve as their Discrimination, Harassment, & Retaliation Administrator. ๐
My time with @Columbia was absolutely wonderful and Iโm leaving behind a great team; they will be missed. ๐๐พ
The journey continues!
Delaying pursuing another degree has ended up being a smart decision.
Due to the experience Iโm getting at work and constantly changing life interests, I feel significantly more focused on what I would like to pursue and how I want it to come together.
Feeling good about the upcoming semester, which marks the start of my second year working at @Columbia.
These presentations and trainings in front of various student groups the past few weeks has felt great, especially considering we were virtual most of last academic year.
Pursuing further studies within higher education feels like both a logical and exciting next step.
I have to think it through, though, as public administration speaks to me as well.
Still, I feel quite ready to add to my educational portfolio in the upcoming years. ๐ฏ
10 months in and I feel the same way.
Iโm so thankful for my @Columbia experience โ from the good to the challenging, itโs been such a rewarding experience.
Today marks the close of my first semester working at @Columbia. This experience has truly transcended my expectations.
Iโm so thankful and happy, as these experiences working in higher education arenโt guaranteed.
It is incredibly important for marginalized groups to move toward solidarity in the face of white supremacy.
Wedges of hate and misunderstanding that were intentionally placed between our communities must not prevail. #BlackAsianSolidarity#StopAsianHate
Your high school textbooks probably didnโt talk about Americaโs long history of Black-Asian solidarity movements. But the reality is these interracial groups continue to be instrumental in dismantling oppression and structural racism: https://t.co/RkJ07mRpvI
Much of higher education - as a profession to a business model - is broken. This is not new, of course.
Still, this professorโs farewell letter from Ithaca College does a great job outlining what are overarching shortcomings within higher ed. https://t.co/VMlbAxSKWZ
