VCU Class of 2015/ UNC 2019. I miss the BCS.

Award winning sports broadcaster / non-award winning school counselor

Great read from Bill. But I think the biggest issue with CFB, that could help solve or alleviate all other issues are the mega conferences that hold almost all the top teams. The SEC and B1G brought us here. Until they are brought down to earth , CFB will be in trouble

[Bill Connelly @ESPN_BillC]

It won’t change scheduling anytime soon, it’s a slap in the face of half of FBS, we don’t have to get rid of CCGs (#FlexWeekLife), and this is the starkest proof yet that the sport’s leaders don’t care about us.

Otherwise, not bad.

Trouble for @TylerReddick in Turn 4.

[Derek Marion @DerekMarion]

I was surprised to see that they are actually from SEC schools. I was worried Texas or Oklahoma would be one of the schools represented. But no, a true SEC outfield

France may well win the WC but they give up too many fast break scoring opportunities. You have to think some team will take advantage of a couple of those and put France in a situation where they have to score a couple goals just to keep pace. Either way they are fun to watch

NC State will not make the return trip to play at VCU this season, a source confirmed.

The Wolfpack, which beat the Rams 85-79 this past season, will owe a $190,000 buyout to not play the game.

@mid_madness @JonathanLidskin I get lamenting the loss of one of the best tournaments of champ week. But when your regular season champ can't even get a look as an at-large team, then what is the incentive have a conference tourney that promotes chaos?

[Derek Marion @DerekMarion]

I used to do pxp for Sean Thompson starts when he was a player for VCU!

[Monty Taylor @Monty2740]

What a job by Sean Thompson & this @VCUBaseball coaching staff & roster.

They won just 17 total games in ‘25. They won 23 A-10 games alone this year and now they’ve dumped SEC giant Tennessee from the NCAA Tournament.

What a season for the Rams, and it continues another day!

[Derek Marion @DerekMarion]

VCU baseball has a habit of knocking Power conference teams out of the tournament. They punch way above their weight class.

[NCAA Baseball @NCAABaseball]

MADE IT OUT ALIVE ⚔️

@VCUBaseball takes out Tennessee in the Chapel Hill Regional with a 5-4 win!

[Derek Marion @DerekMarion]

They had to take down the top 2 seeds to get it done. Impressive tournament for @VCUBaseball

[NCAA Baseball @NCAABaseball]

🐏 AQ CLINCHED 🐏

(3) @VCUBaseball defeats (5) Rhode Island, 9-1, to win the @atlantic10 tournament title and punch its ticket for the #RoadToOmaha.

@BudElliott3 Don't you think it has more to do with most of those CFP data points coming from the NIL era? I would argue that is the bigger reason for increased MOV than motivation. Those G5 NY6 teams were better than their G5 CFP counterparts.

[Derek Marion @DerekMarion]

I've been locked inside the diamond before. Covering @VCUBaseball lol

TYLER REDDICK GETS BACK BY KYLE LARSON TO WIN AT KANSAS! What a finish. That's FIVE wins in 2026 for Michael Jordan's 23XI Racing.

[Derek Marion @DerekMarion]

🖐️for @TylerReddick

[Derek Marion @DerekMarion]

Tyler has good long run speed. Let's see if he can run Hamlin down here. Plenty of time to do it

[Derek Marion @DerekMarion]

@District_Baller Marquette is probably a tough spot to be in this new nil environment. Think about what Shaka might have done if nil was around when he first went to Texas, with all those resources and hype around him as a coach.

[Derek Marion @DerekMarion]

I got really nervous when I saw this before I realized he was saying he's returning. I'm not used to the return posts

[nyk lewis @nyklewis]

stay the course

[Tom Fornelli @TomFornelli]

I am “they’re starting these games way too late” years old.

[Derek Marion @DerekMarion]

@Bogglingurmind Lol it always comes back to football

[Derek Marion @DerekMarion]

Four wins and it's not even April!

[NASCAR @NASCAR]

The season of @TylerReddick continues!

His fourth victory of 2026 comes at @TooToughToTame!

@StanHolmes08 Keep an eye out for 45, he's got a fast car
