The Mannion, Lemon, and Stowers additions to the Eagles have me fascinated about what’s going to unfold this year (and beyond) with the Eagles.
And while at first I was squinting to see how this all fits with Jalen Hurts, I’m starting to see cleaner fits with Lemon & Stowers’ playstyles and what Mannion can bring to the offense.
Kind of like a square peg, rectangle hole.
So now we have officially concluded that this is an organized hit job against Mike Vrabel.
Perfectly coordinated to dominate the news cycle over a long period of time.
Someone is actively trying to destroy him and Diana Russini in the process.
The NFL says it has been "closely monitoring all developments" in the matter surrounding #Falcons edge James Pearce Jr.
Earlier today, Pearce entered into a six-month pre-trial intervention program that, if conditions are met, will result in all charges being dismissed, per attorneys Jacob Nunez and Yale Sanford. This agreement was made in consultation with the city of Doral and the victim, Rickea Jackson. There is no jail time and no admission of guilt.
If you're forecasting how the Eagles will operate in the 1st round, I think back to this story from Jeffrey Lurie on the Lane Johnson pick:
"“I remember (Stoutland) said to Howie, he said to me, he said to the room, ‘This player is not the best tackle day one, but if we just look at it of who is going to be the best tackle in the draft in two years, three years, this guy is going to be so much better than the other two tackles.' From that, I’m thinking, ‘Gosh, if we’re in a position where we’re choosing between two players or Lane is (there), we really need to elevate Lane to a position to where we have a chance to have him.’"
When you look at the picks that missed for the Eagles during Howie Roseman's tenure, it was when they were put too much weight on how the player fit and profiled at the moment.
Philosophies and evaluations always evolve — and I've been wrong before — but it would surprise me if the Eagles didn't prioritize upside more than present-day value with their top selection. That's especially the case on the offensive line. Pay attention to tools, age, and characteristics that cannot be taught.
Browns owner Jimmy Haslam told reporters that Deshaun Watson has a “great chance” to be Cleveland’s starting quarterback.

The NFL will have a Wednesday game to open 2026 with 49ers-Rams in Australia being played either on Wednesday or Thursday as part of opening weekend, per @Ourand_Puck.
Whichever day the game does not take place, the Seahawks' home opener will be on.
