Total BS FAKE NEWS by the BBC.

Last week @BBCNews posted a clickbait story claiming that the chosen site for the Olympics rowing and canoeing in 2032 on the Fitzroy River was croc infested. They included scary footage of crocodiles to make their point.

Small problem. The BBC used stock footage from the WRONG Fitzroy River. The Fitzroy River they broadcast is in Western Australia, not Queensland, ... They were only 3,500 kilometres off!

The BBC should apologise and retract this story ASAP. The BBC's Fake News report has been liked 87,000 times and seen by millions. Foreign journalists should not spread lies about our state.

This sort of clickbait journalism sums up all that was wrong about the misinformation campaign that was run against rowing in Rockhampton.

Thankfully the Queensland Government has stood up against the bullies. The truth has won and rowing and canoeing at the 2032 Games WILL BE here on the beautiful Fitzroy River in Rockhampton.

In an interview with Neil Mitchell that aired today the Director General of ASIO Mike Burgess has made the extraordinary statement that "I wouldn't rule out the possibility that Iran would want to kill prominent Jewish Australians". 

When the head of Australia's leading Security and Intelligence Agency goes public with his "grave concern" that it is only a matter of time before Australian citizens are killed on Australian soil by a foreign power it must ring alarm bells across the nation. 

What is more Mike Burgess's warning comes just days after he revealed that Australian authorities have thwarted 16 serious terrorist threats since  the Bondi massacre just last December.

This is a most serious and dangerous time for our nation.

After the unacceptable security failures that preceded the Bondi attack where 15 innocent souls lost their lost their lives the Government and its agencies must take urgent and stronger action than we have seen to date to protect not just Jewish Australians but all Australians.

We must all call for and expect nothing less.

This may well go down as the single greatest transfer of public assets by elected democratic governments in world history.

Without any serious consultation with their own citizens, Western governments eagerly aligned with the UN and signed onto framework agreements like the 2015 Paris Accord. What began as voluntary international targets rapidly morphed into binding domestic legislation.

The resulting legacy is the systematic exclusion of taxpayers from decision-making, while administrations power ahead, committing billions in subsidies to unproven pet projects—such as Australia’s much-hyped green hydrogen initiative.

Virtually all heavy industry across the West is now in chronic decline. Manufacturing jobs are being hollowed out, striking directly at power-intensive sectors like electric arc steel, aluminium smelting, and fertiliser production. Once-abundant, cheap, and reliable hydrocarbon energy is being degraded and decommissioned in favour of weather-dependent renewables.

Simultaneously, the supply chain for this transition has been handed lock, stock, and barrel to Beijing. China now produces roughly 90% of all photovoltaic components, refined critical minerals, and panel hardware—cementing its position as the greatest manufacturing power in history through an unprecedented transfer of Western wealth.

In place of high-density power generation, more than a million wind turbines and an estimated 9 billion solar panels are now scattered across open farmlands, hillsides, and coastal vistas. Because these sources are intermittent and unreliable, integrating them into existing power grids presents a colossal $21 trillion global infrastructure challenge.

Prior to this shift, Western industrial policy prioritised dense, dispatchable energy security. Today, governments unilaterally lock in multi-decade decarbonisation commitments that outlast their electoral tenures by decades. Vast tracts of public and agricultural land are greenlit and bulldozed for transmission corridors, access roads, and sprawling industrial turbine arrays—all to serve an intangible belief system that vilifies carbon dioxide, the very driver of essential energy and biological growth.

The tangible result? Some of the most expensive household power bills in modern history, the destruction of dispatchable coal and gas capacity, and severe damage to national industrial, economic, and defensive resilience.

As one outraged writer noted, Net Zero stands as perhaps the most diabolical act of self-inflicted harm ever visited upon democratic nations by their own leadership.

Government by regulatory decree is not government by representation. Mandating a multi-decade economic rewiring without an explicit electoral mandate violates the fundamental social contract between the state and the citizen. Locking in 30-year subsidy contracts strips future generations of their democratic right to adjust policy based on real-world performance.

If we weren’t so accustomed to being betrayed, it would be recognised for what it is: a raw, heavy-handed exercise in power at the expense of the people.

Reminder that in 2018 Sudanese refugee lawyer Nyadol "there is no White culture" Nyuon, while working for law firm Arnold Bloch Liebler, was heavily involved in a campaign by ethnic minority lobby groups to force the police and the media to stop talking about African gang crime.

As a result, Victoria Police stopped releasing statistics on the nationality of offenders, and along with a compliant corporate media started gaslighting the public by claiming that African gangs didn't exist (just like White culture).

Earlier this year Victoria Police gave up in the face of non-stop African gang machete attacks, and admitted there were dozens of gangs with hundreds of members committing thousands of violent crimes.

We still don't have good data on criminal offences, but we do know that youths of African background make up 50% of the young people in custody despite being about 0.5% of the population.

We’ve been too polite in putting up with this demeaning abuse of our history.

The foundations of modern Australia - our law, language, parliament, towns, cities, farms and ports were built by British settlers. Convicts, emancipists, soldiers, officers, free settlers and assisted migrants from the British Isles built the country and gave us our great culture.

Migrants in recent decades have contributed but new migrants and settler stock should all revere and be grateful to the gutsy people who risked all to build Australia.

In 2016, the Netherlands Meteorological Institute adjusted temperatures at De Bilt, the country's main climate station.

Daily maximums from 1901 to 1950 were lowered by up to 1.9C, which removed 16 of 23 heatwaves from the record.

The altered data were then used to claim modern heatwaves were unprecedented.

Four researchers challenged the changes, but the institute dismissed the criticism, so the analysis went to peer review. In 2021, it was published, conclusively demonstrating the institute's method systematically erased historical heat extremes.

Today, the Meteorological Institute has quietly changed its approach, and as a result, seven erased heatwaves have been restored, including the extreme summer of 1947.

Here again, we have a government agency caught rewriting climate history. The Netherlands Meteorological Institute erased heatwaves of the past, ignored critics, and reinstated the truth only when the evidence became impossible to ignore.

Policies were built on that manipulated record. Dutch farmers lost livelihoods. Industry and the wider economy paid the price. But accountability is coming.

The Prime Minister has blown a $7 billion hole in the budget after sending an off handed text message to an ABC journalist committing to increase the refugee intake.

Labor’s Budget was built on the humanitarian intake falling to 13,750.

The PM has changed it back to 20,000 and still won’t say who approved it or where the money will come from.
