@longlivePALLOM@adaminkw@SpiritHockey That sucks, but a few isolated fans is not the whole fan base. I'm sure that happens to away fans in London, too. Take the high road.
@Coastaku@adaminkw@SpiritHockey They are, but they're what, 35 years into the league now? Wasn't always a sell out... struggled for many, many years.
Plus the US teams are at another disadvantage in that it's the Ontario Hockey League... it's not well known down there.
@FilipeMaxwell1 @BodogCA @Marner93 It's mindblowing how little sense that makes. Congrats on going years back in my comments... to prove I've consistenly been a fan. You really got me there!
@FilipeMaxwell1 @BodogCA @Marner93 Congrats on talking yourself in a complete circle.
Already said why the Leafs objectively have the worst fan base. You doubled down on how much money they make, which only supports this idea of a sense of entitlement. It's a trash fan base.
@FilipeMaxwell1 @BodogCA @Marner93 Revenue share doesn't mean the receiving teams are not profitable. The bottom 2/3 gets share, but most are still profitable (or they wouldn't keep operating)
Plus, this was originally about attendance and the fanbases. Not sure how you pulled us this far off track here.
@FilipeMaxwell1 @BodogCA @Marner93 Many factors go into franchise value. Doesn't mean they're not profitable, and definitely doesn't mean they're "supported by the Leafs".
Way off topic anyway.
@D_Caruso@theScore I think two things can be true.
The combination of players right now isn't working, for many reasons.
It is no one players fault for the failing... and that kind of thinking is why the Leafs keep losing. Look at all the "problems" they've traded away...who go on to be studs.
@FilipeMaxwell1 @BodogCA @Marner93 That's just incorrect. Carolina and Nashville are consistently top 5 in the league for attendance. They're doing fine.
And players talk about how much better it is to play in a market where the fans don't turn on you (or threaten you) after a couple mistakes.
@D_Caruso@theScore Sure, but he's in that conversation every year. Guy blocks shots, creates plays, kills penalties and logs more minutes than almost every player... and fans still don't notice him? Almost like they just want to hate on someone.
@FilipeMaxwell1 @BodogCA @Marner93 That doesn't mean anything? Leafs got to tickets first... Okay, and?
Look at the energy that's been in their building during the playoffs. You can barely hear anything it's so loud, orange blanketing the rink. Leafs games were quiet as shit.
@FilipeMaxwell1 @BodogCA @Marner93 That's exactly the problem. Real fans support their team, and cheer them on when they need a boost - they don't just sit back and wait to be entertained. Watch an Oilers, Canes, or even a Preds game... it's night and day. TO has the most entitled, whiny fanbase.
