Muhammad Nur Zanna Deribe stepping forward under the ADC for Jere Federal Constituency is another sign that the party’s grassroots movement is expanding across Borno State.
This is how real political structures are built, not only through national headlines, but through credible local candidates entering the field, engaging communities, and offering people a fresh alternative at constituency level.
Jere deserves representation that understands the realities of the people: security, youth empowerment, education, rebuilding communities, small business support, agriculture, and stronger federal presence. The next representative must not be distant from the people. He must be accessible, capable, committed, and ready to speak for the constituency with courage.
ADC is gradually becoming a home for aspirants who want to challenge the old political order and offer a new kind of leadership rooted in service, credibility, and community connection.
Muhammad Nur Zanna Deribe’s aspiration adds fresh energy to the ADC in Jere and sends a clear message ahead of 2027: the movement is not only national, it is local, visible, and growing.
@ADCVanguard_ I've heard of Nur Deribe and the great philanthropic work he's done over the years from a young age. Jere FC people are lucky to have him
BREAKING: Young and vibrant politician, Mohammed Nur Deribe, has emerged as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) consensus candidate for the Jere Federal Constituency House of Representatives seat in Borno State.
The ADC continues to demonstrate its commitment to youth inclusion by giving young people the opportunity to contest and actively participate in leadership and governance.
ARISE AND SHINE
It is increasingly evident that Nigeria’s democracy, and indeed the integrity of the 2027 general elections is in serious jeopardy. Democracy itself is now facing an existential threat. However, I do not want to believe that the judiciary, long regarded as the last hope of the common man, would align with the ruling APC in any effort that could undermine or destroy our democratic foundations. -AA
This has to be the most shameless government in Nigeria’s history.
About three weeks ago, the leadership of the PRP, led by its National Chairman, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, paid a courtesy visit to the National Chairman of the ADC. A few days later, rumours began to circulate that the coalition leadership was considering the PRP as an option. Although this is not true, it took only that single whiff of speculation for a faction to emerge almost overnight in what had been a historically tranquil political party, challenging the leadership of Baba-Ahmed.
This is the reality of Nigeria’s shrinking democratic space under the All Progressives Congress. The government may continue to deny any involvement in the crises within other parties, insisting that these are merely internal failures, but the pattern is visible. The world can see what is happening. More importantly, they can see where this path leads.
But here is the question: is there no one within the APC who can caution those engineering crises in opposition parties that they are, in fact, sowing the seeds of national instability?
A political strategy that is anchored on sabotaging every opposition platform is ultimately self-destructive. When people are left with no options, they are, in reality, left with no choice.
The Seyi Makinde-led PDP and David Mark-led ADC have declared that they will field only one presidential candidate in the 2027 election, as announced today at their opposition summit in Oyo State.
BREAKING: Another APC heavyweight leader and grassroots mobilizer in Jere LGA of Borno state, Alhaji Zanna Mustapha Mai Deribe has resigned his membership from APC and picked his ADC membership card earlier today in Maiduguri.
The momentum is accelerating 💪🔥🤝

It is gradually coming together!
We will not stop until we send these urban bandits back to Iragbiji
It looks like Kwankwaso will be joining ADC this week. Big news for the coalition. Democracy will win at the very end. This means all the major opposition leaders will now be in the same party. An average of 14 million votes. Tinubu still has his 8 million votes and 30 Governors.

I have been briefed that the Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed the suit brought by anti-democratic elements collaborating with the ruling party to have the coalition African Democratic Congress (ADC) deregistered, effectively signalling the end of the opposition's last stronghold. Today's victory at the court demonstrates what we can accomplish when we unite.
I encourage everyone, wherever you may be, to register on the newly opened @ADCNig registration portal. -AA

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially commenced free online membership registration across Nigeria, following the successful kick-off of its nationwide registration and revalidation in Abuja last month.
The new digital registration platform, accessible via https://t.co/SSKtF28jtM, is designed to enable the party meet the requirements of the new Electoral Act 2026 regarding digital membership registers.
Accordingly, only individuals whose membership details are fully captured and verified in the Party’s official digital register will be eligible to vote or be voted for in the Party’s primaries.
Since the launch of the physical and grassroots membership exercise in February, we have recorded strong interest from Nigerians across states and the diaspora.
Apart from meeting legal requirements, the introduction of the free online option is designed to remove barriers to entry, simplify enrolment, and ensure that every eligible Nigerian who wishes to identify with the ADC can do so seamlessly and securely.
Members who have registered on the Party’s previous platform are also required to revalidate their membership on the new digital portal, as additional mandatory information is now required to ensure full compliance with the Electoral Act and INEC guidelines.
Support groups and associations are also encouraged to take advantage of this window by registering at https://t.co/SSKtF28jtM and completing the simple onboarding process.
ADC would like to emphasise that this exercise is without prejudice to our firm objections to the provisions of the Electoral Act 2026 that give undue advantage to the ruling party, as well as the consequential INEC timetable.
The African Democratic Congress remains committed to building a modern, inclusive, and citizen-driven political movement capable of delivering credible leadership and a better Nigeria that works for all.
