Please, I beg you, do not touch a Black baby/child/girl/woman's hair without consent. You do not own our bodies. Also, ask yourself, "Do I feel this same urge and curiosity to touch a white person's hair?"

It's wild how defunding the police is "radical", but defunding education, healthcare, and community programs is the "realistic" approach to helping folks. The truth is we fund what we value and police what we don't.
I believe that human nature is fundamentally gentle and compassionate, but it is not enough that this is our underlying nature; we must also develop an appreciation and awareness of that fact, which can have a very real impact on how we conduct our daily lives.
