Maybe if people stopped pooping on the beach there would be less spread of E. Coli in our lake waters.
“Pooping on the beach spreads E. coli into lake water. Fecal matter contains millions of bacteria that waves, rain, and foot traffic wash directly into the swimming area, raising bacteria counts and increasing the risk of stomach illness.
How Contamination Spreads
•Washing and Waves: Lake water, rain, or high tides touch the sand and carry the waste right into the swimming zone.
•
•Sand Absorption: Bacteria from feces seep into moist sand, creating a hidden breeding ground that constantly leaks germs back into the water”
