from what ive understood of the netflix adaptation of ATLA so far is that they're not just tweaking plot points, they're trying to fill in gaps that the animated version didn't/couldn't.

@calebsmxlti Right. One of my main gripes with the first season was that Zuko was too sympathetic. He had his moments in book 1 of the original, but he was still a selfish brat who still acted like a villain of the season.
