@JohnapIdris1 @JackRyanTurner I think the key thing to being English is are your parents English are your grandparents English great parents etc. if the answer is yes you are English & if foreigners can only become British citizens & not English then over time English will become a homogenous bloodline

@JohnapIdris1 @JackRyanTurner It’s a tricky one isn’t it, I’m English I’ve traced my lines back as far as I can and every generation is English BUT my DNA shows some Viking, German & Norman DNA also the area I live was colonised by vikings & my surname & the name of the village I live in is Viking origin

I’m 12% Denmark Norway Sweden (probably Viking). 6% German (Anglo Saxon?) 1% Portuguese 🤷🏻‍♂️ and the rest is made of different UK regions West Midlands being the majority. If you did a DNA test i can guarantee you are a mongrel baby yourself

@Anglothule Russia certainly isn’t winning … they’ve lost control over several key regions in Ukraine in the last few months which cannot be classed as winning when you are losing the ground you had previously taken and now Ukrainian strikes are hitting deep into Russia on a regular basis

@euromaximal I don’t say this as a way of justifying Russias invasion in anyway just that It was a valid point. The USA would not allow Russia to set up a military base in Mexico for example. They would invade and take Mexico by force before they let Russian missile systems move in

@euromaximal The argument I think was that’s expanding NATO meant missiles & nato forces on Russias doorstep that would effectively mean Russian ICBM’s etc could be targeted & shot down on launch effectively neutralising much of Russias nuclear deterrent.
