@CynicalPublius The panzer arm of the Wehrmacht also used the totenkopf on their short tanker jacket. It has also been used on Prussian headgear dating to WW1 or before sometimes without the lower mandible or crossbones. But again Platner's is from the SS division.

@CynicalPublius The Germans have used the "totenkopf" emblem for many years in the military but having said that, Platner's is a definitive representative of the SS concentration camp organization and the waffen SS division Totenkopf, all SS officers dress caps had the death head on them.
