1/ Doing small things consistently over time will result in pain-free gains you'll enjoy for a lifetime.
As a Dad, the advice I give to my kids is to stay consistent, understand the value of time, and invest in their well-being.
Here's the type of advice I give them:
Motivation before there's "emergency motivation" is the best way to create a better financial situation for you and your family.
Identify what drives you and lean into it.
Get that pen and paper out and journal what really excites you.
If there's money to be made - Get on it!
Reminder to self -
Success is not just about reaching your goals, it's also about enjoying the process and finding fulfillment in the journey.
Embrace the uncertainty, learn from the setbacks, and appreciate every step forward. Success is a mindset as much as an outcome.
The power of a handwritten note:
It's amazing how much impact a few written words on paper can have. They are so rare to receive that I pin them up so I can see them daily.
Take the time to write someone a simple note.
Your writing and its impact will be genuine and heartfelt.
Life is too short to waste on things that don't bring you joy or fulfillment.
We spend approximately 1/3 of our lives working and 1/3 sleeping. Roughly, of course.
That last third is what's left for family, friends, hobbies, vacations - everything else.
Let that sink in a bit.
How do you know you're on the right path in life?
Do you measure your success in terms of dollars or happiness?
Is there a balance that can be achieved, or are you simply compromising if you seek one?
