He is Pierre-Henri Chuet, a former French Navy pilot. In 2025, during Operation Sindoor, he claimed that India had lost several fighter jets and praised Chinese fighter jets operated by Pakistan.

Now, in 2026, he has been detained after being accused of spying for China.

According to reports in the French media, he allegedly made at least two undeclared trips to China in 2018 and 2019 while still serving in the French Navy.
