@hertsowl It's sad that they've been cheated out of the chance to get into a university of their choice on their own merit, though, they might have chosen a different university or path that they'd have felt really proud of, now they've been denied that opportunity 🤷
"Play is serious learning". A focused afternoon exploring how we can balance different types of play in our early years classrooms because play is the work of childhood @GIS_Gems
I’ve been nominated by @Patriciah0724 Every day I’ll post a picture from a day in the life of an educator. I will post without explanation and nominate someone else to take the challenge. That’s 7 days, 7 pictures, and 7 nominations. Day 1: @_Alison_Wallace
@thtexpatteacher Verbal, timely feedback with picture stickers we'd review at the beginning of a new writing session. They link to the kiddo's personal goals and we can check them off when they feel they're ready for a new goal. Positive and gives them some ownership of their learning journey
@MrsRileyEng It depends who and what you do them for. Are they for the students? In which case they should be interactive, working walls that become a part of your teaching. If you're making them to tick a box, then something should change, but I don't think getting rid of them is the answer.
@JoanneCleland13 I love helicopter stories, it's such a powerful technique! I loved watching my pre-ks confidently stepping into the centre of the group and expressing themselves and being supported by their peers
I got to log on with Lily today to say goodbye and well done to my most beautiful class today. I'll miss their smiling faces so much! Weird way to end the year #summerholidays#goodbyesarehard#bestclass#teacherlife🍎 https://t.co/w7CeBl5cbd
I had way too much fun getting ready for this #bookcoverchallenge for KG1 @WeRGIS. I am so excited to see what the kids come up with on Sunday! Watch this space ☺️ @PYPreadsGIS
@_MissClark Looks great, I'll definitely be trying a bit more structure, I've been attacking this pretty chaotically up to now! Thanks for the sage wisdom 😊
@_MissClark Yep, Netflix and best-laid-plans seems to be my approach to dissertation writing right now! Making a timetable is one way to feel accomplished, right??
Schools are not closed. The buildings are empty, but we're still here, still teaching and, when I see the faces of my students online, still smiling #WeRGIS#distancelearning
@hertsowl @jayne_waxman That might well be the case, but parents are looking to teachers to help them understand and cope with what's going on in all this madness. Part of that is support and guidance.
