It's just that these sorts of proposals seem to come from a nebulous feeling that society is filled with a bunch of "moochers" getting something they don't deserve and nobody ever thinks that the label might apply to them.

Until 14A and subsequent incorporation, 1A only restricted the federal govt, not the states, and some states continued aspects of state-sanctioned religion.

@CBHeresy You're realizing what the movement was always about and what others could clearly see from the jump. VERY FEW folks REALLY get impassioned by process issues (immigration paperwork). Maybe you're one of them. For most it's a proxy. Like segrationists ranting "States Rights!"
