A few observations on UGC fiasco:

1. BJP attempting caste politics is like Rahul Gandhi wearing Janeu over his Kurta.

2. BJP is directly to blame. UGC chief's position has been vacant since 18 odd months. An official from education ministry is looking after it. Why?

3. Absolutely love the way even BJP supporters have taken the government to the cleaners! Because education is not ideology. In a poor and middle class country like ours, it is a ladder out of poverty. And when ladders shake, anger comes from everywhere.

4. On ground impact will be very high. They can't roll it back, they can't implement it. People like Chandrashekhar have already smelled blood and will do bloody politics over it.

#UGCRegulations & Hard truth about BJP and its Governments

Without Narendra Modi's explicit approval or nod, no Governor, no CM, no minister, no leader, no officer — from any level — can even breathe freely, let alone take any significant decision or action.

One of Modi's effective and consistent tactics is to quietly manipulate the judicial system to secure the orders he wants — and then, when it suits him, shift the blame onto the judiciary to deflect public heat.

Blaming innocent Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, or pointing fingers at the courts, for the #HisabChukta UGC Equity Regulations is nothing but cowardly deflection tactics by MCs and BCs to shield and protect Modi from accountability and mounting public anger.

Dear general category male students,

Remember, this the fight for your life, fight for your future. We have passed out from our colleges, universities and have very limited stake other than that of our kids who are toddlers.

This UGC guideline is a whip that will not only take the flesh of your body, but the very soul of the nation: your collective shaming at a place where you should be building great things for India.

So, I did my part. I wrote and spoke for last 11 days, relentlessly keeping everything at stake. Friends mocked me, ideological adversaries laughed at and party kept mum. Now mainstream media has been forced to pick up.

It's your time now. Go to UGC, stand for what's your right of a free campus, without the fear of a law that is based on a data of 0.004% of affected students, tell them they can't take away your friendship, freedom, research and results away from you.

You need to fight this out on road as the government is busy making committees to calm you down. But double down this time. A bunch of political retards, aiming to cement their political legacy on the whimsical idea of unproven injustices on so-called dalits, shouldn't be allowed to play with your lives, and by an extention, the nation itself.
