Outside of Haaland, strikers are a complete trap this season. Defenders and Midfielders are outscoring them across the board—and doing it for dirt cheap.

The Cold Hard Proof:
Defenders > Mid-Tier Strikers: Gabriel (209 pts / £8.0m) has outscored every single forward except Haaland. Even Guéhi (179 pts / £6.0m) beats top forwards like João Pedro (177 pts) and Watkins (167 pts).

Midfield Value is Flying: Semenyo (202 pts / £8.5m) and Gibbs-White (188 pts / £8.0m) are outscoring £8.0m+ strikers like Thiago (181 pts) and Watkins.

The Defender Bargain Line: Look at the £5.5m–£6.5m defender tier. Virgil (175), Senesi (175), Tarkowski (170), and Truffert (165) match or destroy forwards like Gyökeres (128) and Ekitiké (125) while saving you millions.

The Playbook:
Sell the overpriced £7.5m–£8.0m forward traps. Lock in Haaland, stack 5 attacking defenders + 4 power midfielders, and run a 5-4-1

You have removed Mbuemo and upgraded 2 defenders!

However, with Sesko not fully fit, Mbuemo may start the GW1 Upfront.
His underlying numbers are also good.

Plus Bruno Fernandes is 12M now.
It will be very difficult for him to match his last year's stats.
Even if he does, he is 12m.

However he is captain material.
So that gives you good freedom to rotate Bruno with Haaland and hence makes your team good.

Adding United defender for first 2 GWs is good.

U can however look for a cheaper options if possible (like Shaw)

Lacroix is a good addition.

I would say a better draft then the last one!
