Nigerian parents:
"So after university, na drawing you wan dey draw?"
Meanwhile designers:
Designing apps.
Building products.
Solving business problems.
Improving user experiences.
😭
What's the funniest thing someone has said about your design journey?
Design Myth Tuesday
"You must know how to draw before becoming a designer."
Not true.
Design is more about solving problems, understanding users, and communicating ideas.
Drawing can help, but it isn't a requirement.
💬 What's the biggest design myth you've heard?
We started DesignCave because learning design shouldn’t feel impossible.
Not everyone can afford expensive bootcamps.
Not everyone has guidance.
Not everyone has community.
So we decided to build one.
🤍
Thanks for being part of our journey. ❤️
Also, Happy new month!

There's a place for you here.
DesignCave is a non-profit design community focused on helping aspiring designers learn, grow, and find direction in the design industry.
Think of it as a primary school for new designers. It started as a simple idea to introduce people to design and has grown into a community.
Wishing a fantastic celebration to everyone in our community celebrating today!
Hope you have a wonderful time connecting with loved ones and enjoying the festivities.

Today’s spotlight goes to Team Mentara — a group from one of our previous EPC cohorts.
They worked on a mental wellness app concept called Mentara . Beyond the screens, we loved seeing their teamwork, and willingness to learn.
This is what EPC is about.
Proud of Team Mentara.
