The Place d’Armes, or Place Notre-Dame, is the oldest public square in the Northern region.

In the heart of Cap-Haïtien, the commercial activity related to sugarcane is quite evident. Merchants unfold their carts loaded with freshly cut sugarcane. These craftsmen skillfully wield their machetes.

The former Gingerbread house of General Nord Alexis👨🏾🦱on 16F Street. He served as the President of Haiti from 1902 to 1908 and was originally from Cap-Haïtien.
