Gracias a todas las personas que asistieron, público y ponentes, por participar a este congreso único. Han sido tres intensos días que nos dejan muchas ideas para la reflexión.
Thanks to all the people who attended, both public and speakers, for being part of this unique conference. It has been three intense days that leave us with many ideas for reflection.
End of the Conference with @LeylaAcaroglu provocateur of sustainability. A great denouement for two days talking around #designpolicies: "design as a language to help people to change and a tool to transform the world and solve the problems we have created ourselves." #wdc2022
"Economic development and sustainability have to go hand in hand in design policies and foster interest in the general public, generate sustainable products that influence the quality of life." @worlddesignorg#wdc2022#designpolicies
Conclusions from the Design Policy Conference by Pradyumna Vyas of the @worlddesignorg. "We need to improve policy interventions and influence them into action”.
#wdc2022#designpolicies
"Design policy is integrated into innovation policies and this causes recognition issues, we have to have identified conversations."
@worlddesignorg#wdc2022#designpolicies
Second day of the Conference and Panel V Design awareness can we make it meinstream? started with Päivi Tahkokallio @tdesignplus talking about "the importance of design in relation to the Arctic. Universities talk about Arctic design and sustainability".
#wdc2022#designpolicies
@tdesignplus @WDCValencia2022@BrandonGien We ended the presentations of Panel V with @aloknandi, who left us with a phrase about the work of the designer: "design is making philosophy with your hands. This process has to become part of the conversations between designers".
#wdc2022#designpolicies
Panel IV , Design Education, and last of the day starts with @AgnesWillenborg: "Designers have a lot of power and at the same time a huge responsibility. We must change to a less anthropocentric approach and look towards nature and animals".
#wdc2022#designpolicies
@AgnesWillenborg@WDCValencia2022 We continue Panel IV with @rene_spitz: "education opens the doors to a better future, without education the doors are closed to develop the world we want. Design opens the doors to a better world".
#wdc2022 @designpolicies
We begin Panel III, Rethinking design for social change. That is why Ezio Manzini points out that it is necessary to "rethink social change to decide what design can do".
#wdc2022#designpolicies
We continue Panel III with Brigitte Borja de Mozota @designence thinking about "optimising the experience of the citizen. Designers love people and people love designers, so she wants to generate the hashtag #designloving".
#wdc2022#designpolicies
@WDCValencia2022 We ended Panel II thinking about how to change cities through design and although according to Gisele "not all problems can be solved, there is always something to improve, and there is always someone who is open to adopting these approaches to do so".
#wdc2022#designpolicies
We continue the conference with Panel II, Changing cities through design with Hanna Harris: "Cities must become places where there is greater understanding and where the here and now meets the long term plans".
#wdc2022#designpolicies
@WDCValencia2022 Panel II continues with Gisele Raulik Murphy. She says "Conferences of this kind are important to know what is happening and how it is done in other places" and claims that the important thing is people. The designer has to listen to the needs of others.
