NUCLEAR IS BORN! (again!) 🤦♀️🥳🥳
The link is still the same, but straight after I uploaded the announcement that I launched my landing page, I decided I hated the cover page and redesigned it. Ooof.

@Smillew_Rahcuef I'd say contactless payments - it's been a big game changer for me, especially in the pandemic just being able to carry my phone and tap it on a keypad is pretty useful. I don't think it's perfect just yet, but it's moving fast and getting much more accessible to all!
Most people think design is about making something beautiful, creative and interactive.
But the best designs are truly the ones that nobody notices, they are the ones that give us simplicity, ease of use, and control of our actions.
I am so, so upset right now. Pleas don't ever do this to someone. You have no idea their background, what they've gone through, etc.
This is the reason I struggle to make video content.
@mauro_codes @toddlibby @feather @annaecook @A11YProject@knowbility You can be a demi-god today then :)
I completely agree @mauro_codes - I guess it is one of the constraints of designing in something like @figmadesign as you use PX instead of EM for sizing things. Interesting!
I'd love to hear from Accessibility gods, if there are special considerations you find are often overlooked in #designsystems could you let me know

(I can only tag 5 people, but you will be pleased to know you were top)
@georgezamfir @toddlibby @feather @annaecook @A11YProject@knowbility Thank you @georgezamfir, I agree this should be a pretty high consideration. Keyboard accessibility is always an afterthought, or is mostly considered for specific users, but in fact good UX can be achieved by short key configurations that makes software better for everyone
I recently found a free poster by @NNgroup that talks about the 10 Usability Heuristics (Jakob Nielsen)
The link to the files are here if you want a peek :)

I'm a bit rusty on #SEO - are there any good resources that can help me figure out what's changed in the past 5 or 6 years? :)
(Looking primarily at personal/small business website)

@annaecook @toddlibby @feather@A11YProject@knowbility And yup, I was pretty much only thinking of accessible design as WCAG. So far I have focussed on things like screen readers, colour contrast etc - but I need to think bigger than that. Recently I was thinking about how mobile design is mainly for right handed users for example!
@annaecook @toddlibby @feather@A11YProject@knowbility @annaecook this is invaluable thank you.
You are correct about ignoring data visualisation and accessibility. I honestly didn't have that as a focus & can't say I've seen many design systems with guidance on it, yet data in many systems is a v. important thing to make accessible
I'm wondering if I'm overthinking this whole thing so I decided to jump in with a set of colours and tweak/add and improve as I go.
Here is my first attempt: https://t.co/7MmIHQN4Qn
Any feedback is appreciated! 🤟
Is there such a thing as a "perfect" set of colours for a design system?
I want to tick boxes for #a11y to ensure I have the best contrast and accessible colours, & a wide enough spread to give me a useable pallet. Oh, and it's got to look good, which is ambiguous I know...
