@sensational965 I am following the development plan. I don't think there is a flat motivation in game dev. You have to follow the process and work with a plan. Without planning or milestones, there is no end.

Thank you for sharing all of this so openly, Joe.
Honestly, I respect what you’re doing even more after reading this.
A lot of people only see the successful launches, the viral posts, or the numbers, but not the years of uncertainty, rebuilding, self-doubt, and pressure behind them. The fact that you kept going after everything with Hypercharge and turned it into a success says a lot about your mindset and character.
Also, the ADHD part genuinely hit home for me. The developer of the game we are currently working on also has an ADHD diagnosis, so I understood very clearly what you meant when you talked about hyperfocus, feeling lost after reaching a goal, dopamine chasing, and the emotional weight that comes with all of it. People often underestimate how exhausting that internal battle can be, especially while trying to create something meaningful.
What you’re doing for indie developers matters more than you probably realize. In an industry where visibility is incredibly hard to get, giving smaller teams even a moment in the spotlight can genuinely change things for them.
And honestly, I think one of the reasons people connect with your posts so much is because they come from someone who actually understands the emotional side of making games, not just the marketing side of it.
Wishing you and your family the best moving forward. Keep doing what you’re doing.
@IndieWithMatheo Hey, Thank you for checking new games. I am game designer, lecturer and solo dev. Trying to make my games and some youtube vids.
