Government wants to make reclamation easier and change the Protection of the Harbour Ordinance. We don’t oppose exempting small reclamations which enhance enjoyment of the harbour. We object to changing responsibility for the burden of proof away from Government.
“Contrary to the popular opinion that the city does a poor job of recycling, Hong Kong is quite successful,” writes Paul Zimmerman for @hkfp, citing respectable paper and waste metal recovery rates. “This is thanks to the efforts of a dense network of cleaners.” @DesigningHK
Let's recognise role 300k++ cleaners in households, businesses, buildings, estates and streets play in recycling. Support with space and facilities needed to collect, separate and sell recyclables; and let them keep income from the sales. Full story: https://t.co/Y7Uy5aykIh
