Thinking of Mahsa Jina Amini, aged 22, who was arrested in Iran by the “morality police” for allegedly wearing her headscarf “incorrectly” and showing a few strands of her hair. She was beaten and detained, and shortly afterwards, she died. Her death sparked protests across Iran and around the world, as women took to the streets, burned their headscarves, cut their hair, and demanded an end to oppression. Let’s hope what is happening in Iran today means no Iranian woman or girl will be oppressed, tortured or murdered again by this tyrannical regime. Let this truly be the end.
