As the project draws to a close, I finally have time to take some really targeted photos to share the details of this little display. Let's start with some whistling, yeah? Toot toot!
Check out my latest video on building some great looking road and railways sign for my #indianrailways#diorama Direct link here: https://t.co/xc9mhmtfL7
The siding.
The buffer stop is scratchbuilt using Code 55 rails and stock HO scale 6X8 lumber. The growth is a mixture of statis grass, piece of jute hemp, and some foam foliage.
Fiddle yard. It's a portable photo/display micro layout, so made it easy and safe to operate trains while taking videos or talking to people.
The locomotive is an HOn30 NDM6 of #IndianRailways in Matheran Hill Railway livery. This 3D printed model is designed by @JeremiahBunyan
Well, you can have fun with model trains even if you don't have a big layout. A properly detailed micro layout, fiddle track and some basic wiring goes a long way!
Part 2 of the Realistic Track series is up now, you can find it here: https://t.co/BceofWNGRX
Hope you guys enjoy the slightly different approach to ballasting and weathering of #modelrailway tracks. Cheres!
Is it time to stop? Nah! I'd rather crash...
No, but seriously, I've just put the last bit of details on this diorama today. Time to move on to other things. That doesn't mean that the photos and videos are gonna stop coming though, stay tuned.
First serious weathering on a 3D printed locomotive. There were many surprises as one would expect - the surface behaves differently than injection molded models or metal, so didn't quite turn out exactly the way I wanted, but I guess it will pass as a good 'first attempt!'
