Peter Obi's attack has been openly condemned by a lot of political heavyweights; Even Kwankwaso has called for foreign intervention. Atiku also spoke out back when it happened some months ago in Edo State.

Now the question is, when late Deborah Samuel was attacked and lynched over blasphemy, how many of the same people condemned the act publicly? Where was the likes of Kwankwaso, Atiku, and co? Same people kept mute.

All of sudden the same people are talking about democracy, and freedom. The incidents are different, that of Obi and Deborah, but let's make one thing crystal clear, these leaders are selective on who they speak out for. The life and safety of an ordinary citizen is just as important as that of a political candidate or elite.

The hypocrisy is sickening.

Peter Obi's political campaign often revolves around his governship era and his supposed records, but his statement couldn't be farther from the truth; There are lots of things he didn't fix in Anambra State, otherwise many people won't be relocating from Anambra in search of jobs, safety, and educational opportunities.

He didn't really tackle the flood issue, the security crisis remains a problem, the health sector was literally on a 13-months strike, just to name a few.

Again, if he really fixed Anambra, why isn't the state his primary place of residence so he can enjoy what he has fixed? It is believed that he often stays in Lagos, and that speaks volumes.

Peter Obi says his UK business had a turnover of over £5m every year, and that because he employed people, the British PM and Queen sent him thank you letters, while a council mayor even visited his house.

Okay. Let’s check the story against the records.

NEXT INTERNATIONAL (UK) LTD, Company No. 03199858, was incorporated 16 May 1996 and dissolved 7 September 2021 following compulsory strike-off. Its last accounts were filed for 31 Dec 2019.

Obi was a director from 16 May 1996–16 May 2008. His wife, Margaret Peter Obi, was company secretary from incorporation and later recorded as a person with significant control. Josephat Ndibe Obi became a director on 21 Aug 2006.

Companies House records show accounts filed across the company’s history, but the public filings do not substantiate the claimed £5m annual turnover.

The financial data available from the 2019 accounts shows approximately £33,626 total assets, £7,071 liabilities and £26,555 shareholders’ funds. And no, I know shareholders’ funds ≠ turnover. I’m making that distinction deliberately.

So, where are the accounts showing this alleged £5m annual turnover?

Then we have the really spectacular part:

Where is the Prime Minister’s letter?

Where is the Queen’s letter?

Which Prime Minister? Which Queen? What date? Which council? Which mayor? Where is the document, photograph or official record?

I have found no publicly available government, royal or council record independently substantiating these claims.

And this is my problem with Peter Obi’s politics: he makes extraordinary claims, people applaud, supporters repeat them, and before long an anecdote becomes “fact” because nobody bothers to check.

I don’t care who you support.

Facts don’t need Obidients. Facts need receipts.

I’m not disputing that he had a UK company. That’s not my argument.

I’m challenging the specific £5million yearly, queen & pm letter and mayor visit cock and bulk nonsense.

If the documents exist, publish them.

Until then, these remain unsubstantiated claims made by Peter Obi, not established facts. A cooked up lie as usual that he constantly feeds his gullible followers because he knows they won’t fact check nothing. They’ll just clap 👏🏾 like zombies and get even more emotional.

And yes, I find it deeply irritating when politicians cultivate accolades from gullible audiences by presenting unverifiable stories as settled history.

Bring the £5m accounts. Bring the letters. Name the mayor. Bring the receipts.

Otherwise, stop selling Nigerians mythology as audited British economic history.
