@Cantonadevils Representing Ivory Coast carries its own pressures, but the week-to-week scrutiny, media attention, and expectations at Manchester United are on another scale entirely.
@Cantona_Collars As a center forward he's the best A+ , the only one who can score 40 plus goals a season, to those who's saying the team's free after he left, that's just the quality of players we have and the system, put him in City's team and I'm sure he'll score more than Haaland.
@utdrobbo Absolutely agree π― Rodri was privileged to play in a system filled with stars which allowed him to excel. Meanwhile Carrick was extending the playing careers of our aging superstars (Scholes and Giggs) compensating what was lacking from them.
@Cantona_Collars A+ for me....he could run central midfield alone while protecting the defence, I am so afraid to imagine what would have happened to us if Arsenal had got him. Arsene was definitely interested.
@UtdBart Obviously Carrick's going to bring the best out of every player under him but Martial had his chances... there's so many more ahead of Martial who deserves that chance
@LFC Beyond that Arne Slot has also helped clear out the team, let's face it, if Salah was staying he'd expect to be first team and it will get tricky if he doesn't play.
@tpldude@giddy_fx How is he better than Carrick? Last season Bournemouth were 9th and finished 6th. United were 15th and finished 3rd. Iraola's coached Bournemouth for 3 full seasons and Carrick's only had less than half a season with United.
@UtdPride The funny thing is Carrick despite retiring clearly ran that half before his substitution . He showcased his abilities like his dribbling, something he sacrificed during his time with United because he always put the team's interest first before his.
@exfootballfan U can go wrong hiring managers with United DNA but on the flip side, if you get the right manager with United DNA, you can get greater success compared to a top reputation manager. That's what happened for Pep and it looks like it could happen for Carrick.
@LFC I know I have no business here being a United fan but Slot was a good manager and had a tough time, understandably so given the new signings and transition of building a new team to challenge.
