I think one of the saddest things in modern relationships is how people want deep love but are terrified of the vulnerability that comes with maintaining it. Everybody wants reassurance, loyalty, softness, effort, emotional safety, and consistency, but the moment conflict, accountability, or emotional responsibility shows up, people start withdrawing instead of communicating.
And honestly, social media has made a lot of people treat relationships like temporary experiences instead of actual emotional commitments. The moment someone disappoints them, they start emotionally detaching, entertaining other options, acting distant, or convincing themselves they no longer care instead of simply addressing the issue directly.
But real relationships are not built on constant perfection. Two people are going to misunderstand each other sometimes. Someone will say the wrong thing sometimes. Someone will get overwhelmed sometimes. What actually determines the strength of a relationship is whether both people are still willing to protect the connection during difficult moments instead of punishing each other with silence, pride, inconsistency, or emotional withdrawal.
I genuinely think emotional maturity in relationships is becoming rare. Because nowadays, a lot of people would rather avoid difficult conversations than risk looking vulnerable. But avoiding communication does not protect love, it slowly destroys it.
@KeruboSk@drsurri1 Sometimes the loudest proof of love is silence and growth. When someone chooses to rebuild themselves instead of replacing you, that wasnβt indifference, it was depth. Not everyone knows how to recognize a good person until theyβve lost them.
@OfficialRezz Been waiting for this one since edc. Such a fun one on acid- drippy, trippy, sploinking my brain. I kept picturing those spooky old school cartoons and I loved every second of it
