@JoeSelf_1 I learnt that crypto currency for a freelancer shouldn't cause fear and scam anxiety, that the reason for the scam must time is ignorance out of lack of deep study

Scammers are getting smarter by the day.

⚠️LinkedIn is no longer 100% safe for job seekers⚠️

Earlier today, I was told scammers now post fake job offers to harvest personal information, then use it to scam other people.

Some even ask you to share your details/credentials under a post to apply.

That’s how they identify desperate people and keep targeting them.

NEVER trust blindly.

NEVER assume that LinkedIn = safe.

Before you apply for any job on LinkedIn, pause and:

✅ Check the poster, not just the post.

No profile photo, no real work history, no company page = 🚩

✅ Verify the company outside LinkedIn

Go to their website and check if the role exists there.

Scammers HATE verifiable footprints.

3. NEVER drop personal info publicly

Email, phone number, CV in comments? Please don’t do that.

You’re feeding a database.

4. Be suspicious of “comment to apply” posts

Real recruiters don’t recruit like influencers.

6: No legit job asks for money EVER (I’ve been a victim of this one twice before)

Don’t pay for “training”, “equipment”, or “fast-tracking”.

6. Watch the language

Urgency, poor grammar, and vague job descriptions are intentional pressure tactics.

7. Trust your gut

If something feels off, it usually is.

Desperation clouds judgment, and scammers rely on that.

LinkedIn is a tool but it is NOT a guarantee.
