Mets fans everywhere. I owe you an apology . You did your part by showing up and supporting the team. We didn’t do our part. We will do a post-mortem and figure out the obvious and less obvious reasons why the team didn’t perform up to your and my expectations
We are all feeling raw emotions today. I know how much time and effort you have put into this team. The result was unacceptable. Your emotions tell me how much you care and continues to motivate the organization to do better. Thank You to the best fans in sports.
Charlie Kirk, a name synonymous with having the courage to speak what you believe and seek/welcome conversations with those whom you disagree with.
I’m not a political person but I am a proud American citizen and today was startling, saddening, and maddening all at the same time.. I’ve realized that I’m a bit naive to how crazy it all has become but watching a man get hunted and slayed in broad daylight because of his opinions made me disgusted and devastated.
This can’t be what we actually are or become as a country.. I believe that the good people will always outnumber the evil people but damn… today was an alarming day in our country’s history.
2 kids lost a dad.. a wife lost a husband.. and societal discourse lost a voice.
RIP @charliekirk11.. I send my prayers, thoughts, and love to his family and friends.
@Section_2_hoops Half their schedule would be filled with games several hours away. For what it’s worth, they had some very competitive games with Shaker and Shen. If CBA actually left, that’s when the athletes from other schools would actually jump ship.
@Section_2_hoops This take of having them leave the section is laughable. It would be more unfair for CBA. Their options would be the NE prep league where they don’t have post graduates. They could join the private league that’s in NYC, Long Island and Buffalo….
Today we lost a brother. Our hearts and love go out to Jill Lesh, Brian and Grahame. Phil Lesh was irreplaceable. In one note from the Phil Zone, you could hear and feel the world being born. His bass flowed like a river would flow. It went where the muse took it. He was an explorer of inner and outer space who just happened to play bass. He was a circumnavigator of formerly unknown musical worlds. And more.
We can count on the fingers of one hand the people we can say had as profound an influence on our development - in every sense. And there have been even less people who did so continuously over the decades and will continue to for as long as we live. What a gift he was for us. We won’t say he will be missed, as in any given moment, nothing we do will be without the lessons he taught us - and the lessons that are yet to come, as the conversations will go on.
Phil loved the Dead Heads and always kept them in his heart and mind. The thing is… Phil was so much more than a virtuoso bass player, a composer, a family man, a cultural icon...
There will be a lot of tributes, and they will all say important things. But for us, we’ve spent a lifetime making music with Phil Lesh and the music has a way of saying it all. So listen to the Grateful Dead and, in that way, we’ll all take a little bit of Phil with us, forever.
For this is all a dream we dreamed one afternoon, long ago….

Everything has been crazy for a few weeks but I hope people appreciate just how bizarre it is that we still haven’t seen or heard from Joe Biden.
The sitting President pulls out of his reelection race and doesn’t address the nation? I know he has trouble speaking but still.
@Realdevinhaney Ok so you got your 0 back. If I were you I’d take a mandatory. Then you might want to visit the financial advisor @Gervontaa. I hear he offers many options for your retirement.
