The backtesting and Monte-Carlo simulation data are only as accurate as my backtesting, and with hindsight and perfect execution, it may not be a sure accurate depiction of my strategy especially the Wingate, expectancy and other values.
So i just completed the full backtest of my system over 300 trades spanning across 11 pairs. I also ran a Monte-Carlo simulation on the strategy. Here are my values: (Thread)
I was dropping my trades here previously but I stopped. From now on, let's be consistent. Expect trading, philosophy, psychology, math, graphic design and all my other interests...
Your trading plan isn’t going to stop you from taking losses
Funny enough, I don’t think consistency comes from winning more trades
It actually comes from making the same decisions over and over
A structured system won’t eliminate losses, but it’ll stop you from trading based on feelings. You won’t feel anymore confusion
Over time, that’s what separates consistent traders from everyone else.
Gm, and have a profitable Tuesday 🥂💜
Real talk yeah..
I’ve been trading for 6 years now
And if you’re still struggling, there’s one lesson this journey has taught me that I want you to remember.
The market rewards discipline more than it rewards intelligence.
You aren’t failing because you don’t know enough about technical analysis.
You’re failing because they can’t stay patient long enough to let that edge PLAY OUT.
Having a good trading system is important, but even the best strategy won’t make you profitable if you keep interfering with it.
If you can’t stop checking TradingView every 5 minutes..
If you keep moving your stop loss..
If you keep closing trades early..
If you keep forcing setups that aren’t there…
If you’re tampering your open positions on MT5…
YOU WONT BE PROFITABLE.
Your bad habits will kill your working system.
So if you’re knowledgeable but still unprofitable, stop looking for another strategy.
Start fixing the trader behind the strategy.
