🚨PSR IS DEAD. THE PREMIER LEAGUE HAS A NEW FINANCIAL RULE BOOK
The Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR) are officially gone.
After one final season of enforcement in 2025/26, the league has switched to the new Squad Cost Ratio (SCR) and Sustainability and Systemic Resilience (SSR) framework from the 2026/27 season.
During 2025/26, SCR was tested in the background while PSR remained enforceable.
Under SCR, clubs can spend up to 85% of football revenue on squad costs, dropping to 70% for clubs competing in UEFA competitions.
That replaces PSR’s previous £105m three-year loss threshold. However, the old rules have not completely disappeared, the Premier League can still punish clubs for PSR breaches committed before the end of the 2025/26 season.
Great part of this is we will finally see how good Enzo Fernandez is. For years the narrative has been he was stuck at chelsea, look at what he does for Argentina.
🚨🇦🇷 Enzo Fernández has completed a medical as new Manchester City player.
£125m move entering into documents and formal steps next with Man City and Chelsea.
@Gunner4life81@6reezy6a6y We have to do that though. As fans we know what Arsenal is about, top players do not. In their eyes, Barca, Madrid and even City/Chelsea are viewed as top destinations. Until someone gives us a chance and actually does well, we kind of stuck chasing
@taraAFCx Makes sense considering we are trying to go one step further in the champions league. After what happened in the final, we needed better attackers
Berta's position maybe untenable at this point especially after leaving home early on deadline day. He is getting so much criticism atm. We will have to see what Josh does.
Yeah a slap in the face to fans. Good part: 2 decent signings and making space on wage bill. Bad parts, no upgrade on a shambolic attack. After the title win, the talk was going to another level...
As of now, I am not concerned with the league. It will be hard work, but with our defense I am not that worried.
With the champions league, the gaps are still there.
@Arsenal There is time left. Get one loan in. Give someone a chance to prove themselves. We gave odegaard a loan season, why cant we give someone a chance?
