@JacoboPeterman@DragonflyJonez Doin' It? Rock the Bells? I Need Love?
Even if you don't like him, it's ridiculous to act like he hasn't had a bunch of hits.
@FunkLawBoy @JackGattanella @ohannes_klcdg@DapperDomo@rdcarpetcupcake Taking an anti-Israel stance doesn't mean that she'd have a better chance of winning. She stands to lose a comparable # of votes to any that she'd gain. Likely more, bexause the progressives that have decided this is their single issue have shown they'll just move the goalposts.
@MarcheseMethods@yacineMTB A teacher with 10 years of experience is much different than one in their first or second year. Expertise is about having a wide breadth of relevant functions being routine as opposed to new or unpracticed. Are we dismissing the value of practice?
@ericvideos91 It's not that being moderate is triggering- it's that in many more liberal places, conservatives lie about being moderate in order to avoid owning all the socially regressive attitudes currently associated with conservatism.
(He says as if this was a good faith question)
@FTtheMusician They don't care about any individual vote. They care about getting more electoral votes than the 2nd place person, because that's all that matters. Paying taxes does more to "support" genocide than voting. At least if you refused to do that, you'd be taking on personal risk.
@HardlyTimes @Toniphicus @AlexStarSpeak @Pinko69420 Do you believe there is any chance that a plurality of the electorate will decide to vote for Jill Stein at this stage of the game, despite all polling and historical evidence saying they have no intention of doing that?
@FTtheMusician Your presidential vote or nom-vote will not have any influence over what happens in Gaza. It COULD have some influence over what happens *here*.
@emre_mayo@jrog812@SwannMarcus89 I think that's definitely true of older kids. I work with mostly kindergarten and first graders and you would think they were being threatened with death when they were encouraged to eat an unfamiliar vegetable.
@ghostinthishell This only makes sense if your vote (or non vote) could influence the American government to change its policy on Israel. It is very clear that that isn't the case, so who are you helping?
@WonkyWombat1 @Deltexterity @benedictsred That's not exactly correct. A person can be single and still identify as polyamorous. Conceptually, it just means that a person believes that it's possible or desirable to have more than one loving/romantic relationship at the same time.
@NobleQAli There's a huge disconnect between people who seem to believe that voting is about registering your opinion and people who believe that voting is about determining a winner.
Personally I think that determining the winner is more meaningful than registering my opinion, but ymmv.
@ovinophile@SouthDallasFood Cooking and eating aren't only about consuming nutrients to live.
Sometimes it's an expression of creativity and a way to experience joy and pleasure. This recipe is one of those. The fact that the recipe exists doesn't mean you have to eat it that way every time you eat salmon.
@zolpfs@Rage_Crayon @becbenepla Even animals can learn some "language" with that type of basic conditioning. If I tapped your left hand three times and then gave you a cherry- and thereafter every time I tapped your left hand 3 times I gave you a cherry, you couldn't NOT associate those taps with cherries.
@zolpfs@Rage_Crayon @becbenepla Do you think she didn’t eat food? She'd know an apple because she'd eaten apples before, or she could have been given the apple to eat while she's learning the braille for apple, whatever.
Teaching/learning language is just about attaching a sound/symbol/feeling to an idea.
@Amazing_Amy_W You're not necessarily wrong, but my impression is that brothers do this with each other even more consistently- so it's not really possible to say what's the stronger motivation.
