💭 MY VIEW
One question is worth asking:
Why has the Kenya shilling remained broadly stable against the US dollar for over a year, yet weakened against several other major currencies?
If you've been following the EUR/KSh exchange rate, you'll know it has moved far more than the USD/KSh rate.
This matters because a stronger Euro makes imports priced in Euros more expensive for Kenyan businesses and consumers.
Exchange rates don't move in isolation. Understanding which currencies the shilling is strengthening or weakening against tells us far more about the economy than looking at the US dollar alone.

🥶🧊 Lamine Yamal: “What is aura? In football, Cristiano Ronaldo”.
“Aura is a person who gives off, something like when they arrive, it's like… WOW. For example, Brad Pitt or like that”.
“In football, Cristiano would be a good example of aura”.
The same World Bank talking about tough times ahead are the same ones who have given crooks illegal debt meant for fighting corruption.

My heart sank. I can't come to terms with the fact that FIFA has become the most corrupt governing body in football history. Robbing Egypt to hand Argentina the glory; it feels like the same script we witnessed in 2022. They did everything they possibly could to ensure Messi won the World Cup then, and now it seems they're doing it all over again in 2026.
🚨🗣️ José Mourinho Tears Into VAR: “Egypt Had a Goal Stolen From Them!”
🗣️ “Egypt scored a perfectly legitimate goal. There was no foul, none. The referee invented one, VAR backed it up, and a crucial moment was stolen from Egypt.
🗣️ Football should be decided by the players, not by officials searching for reasons to disallow goals. Tonight, the referee and VAR became the main characters.
🗣️ You can talk about tactics and performances all you want, but when clear goals are ruled out like that, the integrity of the game is questioned.
Egypt deserved that goal. They deserved better.”

FIFA cannot keep getting away with this.
Every time Argentina need a lifeline, the script magically appears.
I’m not even angry anymore, I’m just tired of watching football get bent for the storyline.
🚨🗣 Jamie Carragher on Egypt's Canceled goal by VAR:
🗣"I am telling you that, if that was against another team it would have been awarded as a goal"
"If that was in the premier league, Laliga or Serie A, it would have been a goal even after VAR review, there is a lot of inconsistency lately in this tournament"
