The meaning of #woke was intentionally propagandized when passion for social change, including efforts to end racism in policing, housing, lending, healthcare, etc, was growing.

This propaganda was a part of the fear-mongering around a more just, diverse, inclusive society.

Now, the word “woke” is often used as a synonym for too diverse, too inclusive, too concerned about the well-being of all.

But we need an awakening…and a revolution of values.
