We also demoed our new toy with TEMPEST. and of course some lockpicking.
We finished off by demolishing 32 large pizzas in about 15 minutes, barely a crust was spared.
Huge thanks to LUHackers @BenSimms15, @ProPaulius, @ekralcyrneh, @thePotatinator, and @KMatthewMarsden 2/2
We had a great first session, packing out the @InfoLab21
foyer for an intro talk from @RicDerby and @DethMetalDuck ! We then spread out for demos of industrial control systems hacking, wireless hacking, reverse engineering, and web app hacking... 1/2
Next year's hacking is planned, the new server is in the rack, the labs are underway. 2019-2020 is looking good for LUHack and our new @SCC_Lancaster cohort.
We're also very excited to announce our sponsors for this year: @BarrierNetworks and @XyoneSecurity!
It was a pleasure to speak at the @bcs Cyber Crime 2018 event at @UKFast on behalf of @LancsUniHackers with @DethMetalDuck and @kestix_, we're all very proud of 1st place in the CTF.
Lancaster University Ethical Hacking Group have placed 1st, 2nd and 5th out of 8 teams in the BCS's first Capture the Flag Competition, well done!
