Frenger, Host of the Podcast, host on @gamersofaen, father, and tech wiz’ - “I just tweet whenever at random times”

[Thomas D @Detkanin]

@ArcedPendulum @hungnguyentuan @thegameawards Of course there are always variables when it comes to reported sales numbers. But it is the quickest way to gage how many people actually played these titles.

So again. How is BotW limited in its audience and why does it matter?

[Thomas D @Detkanin]

@ArcedPendulum @hungnguyentuan @thegameawards What do you mean limited audience? And why does this matter for GotY nominations?

[Thomas D @Detkanin]

@ArcedPendulum @hungnguyentuan @thegameawards In a shocking realisation, The Last of Us part two only sold 2.8 million copies according to Google. The lowest of all mentioned games. 1/10 of breath of the wilds 30 million.

I had to check the original Last of Us, which only sold 17 million.

[Thomas D @Detkanin]

@ArcedPendulum @hungnguyentuan @thegameawards God of war (2018) and Elden Ring could do almost 2/3 of Breath of the wilds. And Elden Ring is available on multiple platforms.

[Thomas D @Detkanin]

@ArcedPendulum @hungnguyentuan @thegameawards I just did some quick googling. Of all the GotY winners in the game awards, only Overwatch (2016) and Witcher 3 (2015) has sold more than Breath of the Wild (2017), compared to all winner titles from the following years.

[Thomas D @Detkanin]

@hungnguyentuan @thegameawards How is Zelda’s audience limited? It’s the best selling game of all the ones you mention!

Favourite future feature I'd love to see: Multiplayer drafting on site. Considering how many of us cannot physically draft together in these times, drafting online would be a nice addition.
