Pen PAL Program: Reps & Role Models 🏐💫

In collaboration with @DetroitPAL and @EMUVolleyball, we were proud to host another Pen PAL Program clinic in Detroit, continuing an initiative designed to connect young athletes with collegiate role models.

This experience gave Detroit PAL athletes the chance to train alongside EMU student-athletes while building real relationships with role models who show what’s possible both on and off the court.

It’s an initiative that goes beyond volleyball, creating confidence, connection, and a lasting sense of what the future can hold.

Our Roblox-based program continues to create real impact across the community. Roblox is an interactive platform where users can design their own games, build virtual worlds, and develop real coding and game development skills. It’s a powerful entry point into STEAM, blending creativity, technology, and problem-solving in a way that truly connects with today’s youth.

Together with @accelerate4kids, we’re creating opportunities for young people to explore new pathways and develop real skills on the screen.

Even more special, this program is being led by Kira Borum, a former PAL kid who is now pouring back into the next generation. A full-circle moment and a powerful reflection of what this work is all about.

Corporal Norwood continues to show what it means to serve beyond the badge. Through his passion for hockey and commitment to Detroit PAL, he’s growing the game and guiding the next generation every step of the way.
