BREAKING: Michigan has hired former New England Patriots Director of Football, Berj Najarian, as an assistant General Manager per @PeteThamel
Berj will help Kyle Whittingham and Michigan Football with contract negotiations and strategy
Berj spent 24 seasons with the Patriots (2000-2023). He played an integral role in helping New England win 6 Super Bowls. He was regarded as Bill Belichick’s ‘right-hand man’ #GoBlue
Michigan's athletic department budget is one of the highest in the country.
It's men's basketball program spent just $14.4M, ranking 26th in the country, a fraction of UConn's $21.6M budget. But it was the Wolverines who cut the net down last night.

Since January 1, 2024, the University of Michigan has more National Championships in football and basketball (2) than Michigan State has Big Ten football wins (1).
People probably think Michigan fans are spoiled these days. But I promise it’s not as glamorous as it appears. The last year or two, if someone came up to me and said “congrats on the National Championship,” I was able to simply reply “thank you.”
Now I have to ask “which one?”
Michigan F Yaxel Lendeborg's last three NCAA Tournament games:
vs. Saint Louis: 25 points, 6 rebounds
vs. Alabama: 23 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists
vs. Tennessee: 27 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists
I can’t get over the fact that for the last minute of the game, through the handshake line, to addressing the team in the locker room, and walking to the press conference… the only thing on Tom’s mind was the Maize Rage chanting “Little Brother.”
Hook, line, and sinker.
The four players on the ice when the USA scored to win the Gold Medal:
Jack Hughes - Canton, MI
Zach Werenski - Grosse Pointe, MI
Dylan Larkin - Waterford, MI
Connor Hellebuyck - Commerce, MI

BREAKING: Michigan has hired Boise State Co-Defensive Coordinator Tyler Stockton as safeties coach per @PeteThamel
Before Boise State, Stockton was the Defensive Coordinator / Assistant Head Coach at Ball State from 2019-2023 #GoBlue
This man not only got the special teams to turn in its best performance of the season in just weeks, the former Buckeye coach has his whole family decked out in Michigan gear.
Legendary stuff.

Quick thoughts on Whittingham/Michigan pairing:
- Feels very Jim Harbaugh-esque hire, which is great
- Utah was built on toughness, playing good defense, and being disciplined
- Whittingham has done a great job doing it with less
- Resources are going to be elite in Michigan, will be interesting to see what he can do with them
- Age doesn't matter to me.. Michigan needs stability and that's what it's getting
- Players might not know a ton about Whittingham, but once they do, they should be on board with the hiring
- Jason Beck would be an A+ hire for Michigan if he comes with Whittingham
- Bryce Underwood, Jordan Marshall, Savion Hiter, and Andrew Marsh would EAT in Beck's offense
