@TheMugNHL I love Cat, but he doesn’t fix EDM’s problem which is defense and defensive forwards and a solid goaltender. Solid goal scorer, but EDM is already averaging 3-4+ gpg and giving up the same. Outscoring the opponent works in the reg season, proven not to work in the playoffs.

@pearlosnhlpow We’ll see. If he’s not traded by the draft or at the draft, it may not happen until the deadline. One thing I’ve learned about SY as a gm is his motto is “what’s best for business” and if that means holding until it works for him, he will.

@pearlosnhlpow You make Larkin sound like he’s on McDavid’s level. He’s an above mediocre two way center that disappears in the late season (every season). He’s not the needle mover that will make players leave because he’s not happy. Buffalo survived Eichel’s temper tantrum, we will too.

Even with the 5v5 struggles, he’s a guaranteed 30+ goal scorer and given a real top 6 line, he’s an 80+ point per season player. He’s going to be tough to replace

@Sabrestalkv2 If he had an actual top 6 forward corps, he’s a point per game player. He played with a 7th round rookie most of the year on the top line. He’s going to guarantee a team 30+ goals and 70-80+ points for the next 5 seasons at a very low AAV. Every gm in the league would take him
