UCONN HC Dan Hurley - Building a System/Identity
- "Our system is how hard we play. How hard we get after people every single possession at both ends of the court & on the backboard."
- "The number one thing you got to understand if you want to have a program that can sustainably be successful and have a chance to win every single night... It's hard to coach that way because it's fu**ing exhausting. To coach every single possession, every single day and when the losing team runs the line because every single drill we do there is a winner & a loser, when they get this close and miss that line, you better be there to call them out and make the whole team now run with them."
"If you want to start the game 6-0, like I start most games just because my team is ready to go because we go so hard every day."
If the Blazers don’t go after Giannis, Corey Kispert will suffice.
A career 38% 3pt shooter, as well as someone familiar with playing alongside Deni Avdija, is playing 7 less minutes on average than last year, and could be a STEAL of a pickup for the Blazers.

Coach Scheyer on Duke’s team identity. It’s built around 3 concepts:
1. Connection
(Building trust, being honest, active listening, communicating on the court)
2. Kaizen mentality (改善=Japanese word Kai 改 meaning change 善 for good & better) Focusing on each day being your best. Can we improve each day little by little so that by end of season we are at our best?
3. Obstacle is the way
(Facing the challenges head-on. Reminding ourselves that we chose the hard path. Understanding things won’t go your way or will be easy, but not about avoiding them, it’s how you respond when they do come your direction)
Duke’s identity is simple: grow together, get better every day, face every challenge.😈

Really good stuff here from Jay Wright
“The most open you will ever be is when you first catch the ball….The habits of most players is to catch and dribble or catch and hold”
Great teaching point

#Vikings WR Justin Jefferson went undercover as a photographer for GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah’s annual headshot photo… and it’s HILARIOUS.
Best video you'll watch today by far 😂😂😂

This shot is INSANE.
It is WAY better than Cam Smith’s putt around the road hole bunker.
This is Riccardo Fantinelli from Princeton Men’s golf on the 17th hole at St Andrews Jubilee course. We are here for the St Andrews Collegiate
Golf tournament.
I was standing next to him for this shot. Pretty cool to have a front row seat for this one.
He was about 90 feet from the hole if you are keeping score at home.
Keegan has to start strong with his lineup tomorrow.
If I were him, I'd send the alt shot pairing of English & Morikawa out first and send a message.
Don’t let Morikawa-English pairing distract you from the fact that the U.S. had Henley hitting on the odds and Scottie on the evens. That was just as (and possibly more) egregious.
Pretty astounding that, in 2025, there isn't an option for fans at home to watch a live stream of every individual match at the Ryder Cup. Even a paid option. The Masters does this with all 18 holes. There are only 4 groups on the course at Bethpage Black.
