(4/4) The first response from an engineer was a link & apology for the mix up. The engineers I interviewed with were great, but their recruiter is leaving me with a horrible feeling and I hate that I could miss out on a great team because this one guy is sending up red flags.
(1/4) I had a phone screen with a company's recruiter. He was fairly casual about it & said some concerning things in the interest of "full disclosure." But maybe the honesty was nice? It's fine. He said they'll email about next steps.
(3/4) I emailed him my availability. He responded with a calendar invite for a code screen. There was no link to a video meeting/code share. When I asked, he told me three times that the link was in the invite/"just click the link."
Day 49/#100DaysOfCode
Picked up Python again, quick review of the basics (types, for loops, functions, the usual) and built a basic calculator program: https://t.co/Q7O7hjSjXl
I dropped the ball on this (which I'm OK with - I simply didn't prioritize it & had other things I'm happy I spent the time on including giving myself a mental break), but I'm picking up #100DaysOfCode again & ready to dribble it all the way to the championship.
@cehhiro @cassidoo I was going to reply about give me a break, I just use jsbin for one-off things, but then I spent 30s Googling & discovered the jsbin editor settings & so many things are better now. No more puppies will cry on my watch.
@ax_machado@cassidoo This was definitely a good problem to learn I've got some major gaps in understanding how computers handle numbers. I'm for sure going to go back to it to make it more dynamic.
@SneakyDingoBike @deckeresq @cassidoo Yes, I intended "0.XX" to guarantee that format because the original question didn't specify & admittedly I wanted to keep it simple today. BUT I appreciate the test cases you laid out & maybe will work on making it a little more robust tomorrow. Thanks!
