Building mobile products at scale means balancing performance, architecture, user experience, and constant innovation.
And Google brought exactly these conversations to the Mobile Stage at DevTalks Romania 2026.

As the Mobile Stage Partner for 2026, Google opened the day with Nicole McWilliams, Engineering Director at Google, setting the stage for discussions around modern mobile engineering and large-scale product development.

Later on, Andrei Timofticiuc, Staff Software Engineer at Google, explored one of the most complex mobile engineering challenges in “Threading the needle: Shipping two mobile applications into one binary”.

Kudos to Anders Lybecker for bringing one of the most honest conversations about AI-driven software engineering to the AI & Big Data Stage at DevTalks Romania 2026.

Through “From Code Scarcity to Code Abundance”, Anders explored a major shift happening across engineering organizations today: writing code is becoming easier, but maintaining quality, coherence, and architectural alignment is becoming harder than ever.

One of the biggest takeaways? The bottleneck is no longer generating code. It’s building systems teams can still understand, maintain, and evolve together.

In “AI in Mobile QA, worth it?”, Piotr explored the growing wave of AI tools entering the testing space and asked an important question many teams are already facing: how much of it is truly useful, and how much is just hype?

The game is changing and Victor Rentea brought one of the most honest perspectives on that shift to the Java Stage at DevTalks Romania 2026.

In “AI-Augmented Engineering”, Victor explored what happens when AI stops being a trend and becomes part of everyday software engineering workflows. From prompt and context engineering to agent orchestration and the rapidly growing MCP ecosystem, the session offered a practical look into the new skills developers need to adapt, stay relevant, and build alongside AI systems.
