Dev to Rover

I write code for a living and build things after work, hoping one of them buys back my time. Currently building Bones.

@TheXSami Nice, happy to connect! 🙌

I'm Kevin, 28. Building from the Netherlands 🇳🇱

I've been coding since I was a teenager, but mostly building things for others.

I think it's about time I started building for myself.
So yeah, I guess I'm an indie dev now?

If you're building something too, let's connect!

Day 2 🎉
- Set up analytics, ads, and remote configuration for my first mobile game.
- Completed all the required forms in Google Play Console and submitted the alpha build for closed testing

[Dev to Rover @DevToRover]

Day 1
- Explored generating satisfying videos using Claude, Three.js, and Blender. Built 40 prototypes. Not perfect yet, but a good stepping stone.
- Opened up my first Google Console account to be ready for my games and apps to be published.

@mrtbrgl Yes

[Dev to Rover @DevToRover]

@Anshkosh I will publish the simplest one first. It's easier to finish, easier to maintain, and simpler to iterate on based on user feedback.
I'll need to learn how to market it, as well as how to grow it organically, and define what success/failure is per project.

[Dev to Rover @DevToRover]

Over the past few months, I've built a bunch of things behind closed doors. Some half-baked, some beyond MVP, some still WIP. But I've never really put them out there.

Starting today, I'm building in public and sharing my progress here every day until I make my first $1K online.

@pcshipp What about Cloudflare? 😅

@YouShallNotGame Will definitely share more soon 🙌

@matthias_mrc Reviewing the slop generated by AI

[Dev to Rover @DevToRover]

I've been working on my grammar-learning project almost every day for the past two months, and it's come a long way.
One thing I wish I'd done differently? Start building in public from day one.
Better late than never.

So here's the first sneak peek at what I've been building.

[victor @theviclaw]

So jev is basically 2022 machine learning, without the need for a minimum training dataset.

[Dev to Rover @DevToRover]

I’ve been using @typesafeai’s Jev to check continuity and comprehensiveness in my language learning app, and it’s almost replaced the meticulous manual reviews I used to need.

An incredible feedback loop for content, especially AI-generated content.

Absolute game changer.

[Dev to Rover @DevToRover]

Finally tried @typesafeai today and I’m blown away.
Built a quality-check pipeline for my language-learning side project that runs all my manual checks on every lesson and feeds the results back to the agent.

This used to be painful with prompts & skills. Now it’s deterministic.

[Dev to Rover @DevToRover]

Everybody is talking about their experience with @typesafeai's Jev, and all I am experiencing is FOMO.
The damn 9-5 and life on top have been so demanding these past couple of days. Can't wait to try it out and build something cool.
