Kelsall FC Women continues to grow with the addition of Chloe Ankers to the coaching team.
Chloe brings a wealth of experience from a professional environment, joining us from Wrexham AFC Women, where she was part of a historic season that saw the club crowned champions and achieve UEFA Women’s Champions League qualification.
As we begin this new chapter for women’s football at Kelsall FC, Chloe’s experience, ambition, and passion for the game will play a huge role in helping build something special from the very beginning.

As Kelsall FC Women prepares for its first season, we’re excited to welcome Chris McNee as Assistant Head Coach.
Chris has been immersed in football since the age of five, starting out as an outfield player before making the switch to goalkeeper at eight years old. The position became his strength, and he went on to represent the county at schoolboy level, gaining valuable experience and understanding of the game.
Keen to turn his passion into professional expertise, Chris studied at college and completed an NVQ in Football Coaching with David Campbell Soccer School. Chris then joined Winsford Town FC. During his time at Winsford, Chris has gained extensive experience coaching players across a wide range of age groups, from Under 7's right through to Under 17's. Alongside this Chris earned his UEFA C Licence, all of this equipping him with the knowledge, methods, and skills needed to support player development at every stage of their journey.
Chris said, "I am now eager to keep building and developing my coaching career, and I truly feel that Kelsall FC is the perfect place for me to achieve these next steps".
Together, we’re building a team focused on ambition, development, and creating a welcoming environment for players at every level.
Trials are now open for women looking to be part of something new.

A new chapter for Kelsall FC begins.
We’re proud to welcome Steve Higgins as Manager of our first ever Women’s First Team as we continue building opportunities for women’s football within the club and the local community.
Steve holds a Uefa C coaching qualification and is looking to further this in the future by taking his Uefa B. Steve has managed both a youth side and an adult side in Staffordshire.
Before going in to coaching, Steve played football, starting as a goalkeeper and then full back. Unfortunately Steve suffered double ACL injuries which ended his playing career early so Steve looked to coaching and is now looking forward to continuing his journey with Kelsall.
Steve said "I truly think Kelsall FC is going places and will really be challenging in years to come in the higher tiers of the football pyramid and i can't wait to get started with the group and everyone involved".
Now, we’re looking for players ready to be part of the journey from the very beginning.
Trials now open.
